My computer died. Again.

Yeah, not too happy about that one. This past weekend it decided to stop working. I just got it back up and running after it died this past summer too. Seems like I just can’t get a break with that machine. I am hoping though, that it’s just something simple. I did some quick looking around in my machine, and stuff appears to be receiving power, but it won’t turn on. So if it’s simple, I just have a bad power switch. If it’s something else, then I have a real problem on my hands and no money to fix it. However, I may be getting a short freelance web design job, should this thing really be any problem that’ll get me some money to fix it. Just for the time being it’ll be a little tougher to keep up with things on the net and I won’t have access to my original files. So for those people trying to contact me, I may be slower than usual, and I apologize for that.

Playing Persona 3 today when I got the urge to doodle something. So I saved, got up and started doodling. Couldn’t really produce anything really all that great, but I started going through a few old sketchbooks I had laying around and decided to post a few old sketches. Mostly because I haven’t posted anything in a while. But hey, at least I’m posting stuff, even if it’s old. I did find an old drawing that I forgot about while flipping through my older stuff. That’ll go up as soon as I finish it. Anyway, here’s the sketch. It’s pretty rough but perhaps I’ll go back and touch it up later.

Right, well the past week of school has given me a good punch in the face. So now I gotta pick it up a little and get caught up, so for updates and such, they may still be a bit scarce for the time being. I am, however working on a few commissions, so I’ll probably be posting those up as I get those finished. I’m also trying to figure out what I want to put up here. In the past it’s been almost entirely my “anthro” illustrations and such, but I’m considering putting up some of my other things. I don’t to entirely all things furry, so I figure perhaps I can set up a few more galleries and put up more. Just tossing things around in my head. Oh, and so as not to feel like I’m updating without posting something, I noticed earlier this week I hadn’t put up my “serenity lost” piece. And I figured that since I had put this up in my DA gallery that I may as well put it up here. Even after the tearing apart in critiques, it still has a few things I like about it, so why not? Well, better shove off and get back to work. And for the record, Rez is not good for productivity, but I still have to recommend it.

So I finished it up, put some art up in the galleries, got my pages all filled in and stuff. Over all, I’m happy with it. I’m hoping all this work will pay off in the form of getting me to post more frequently. With the way I have this set up, it certainly is a lot easier. And I think a blog style site will work better for me anyway. It was practically one already, just not as much user friendly to update. Still have some tweaking to do, but I can do it along the way. There seems to be one bug, and that’s every now and then the CSS will load all screwy on FireFox, which sorta bothers me, but the bug seems to go away after the page is loaded and actually used. That’ll probably take some working out, but I’m sure I’ll figure out something.

Another cool thing is that I think I might have worked out something with my schedule that will let me draw for myself at least once a week. That’ll be real nice for getting down things I want to draw and finishing up some of those commissions I have. This semester is looking pretty good so far, but it’s only been one week, heh. We’ll see how things go, especially with the kind of course load I got myself into. Things ought to be interesting come finals week a few months from now.

Little by little this place is coming together. Threw up a few inks I did last year in the gallery. They really should have been there in the first place. I think I pretty much have it set the way I like it, though I still want to get this setup to be more of a blog style site. The more I see it in other art sites, the more I want it myself. I’m thinking of turning this into a WordPress design and going with that since an installation is already available for me with my host. And it would definitely streamline my updating process. Just have to figure out how their templates and designs work and I’ll have one up. Then hopefully this place will be a little less barren.

I’ve decided on a final design, and once again decided not to go with a programmed back end out of problems with complexity and such. I honestly just about had this thing set up the way I would have liked it, but decided that it just wouldn’t work out. Load times, overly complex background programming among a few other things solidified my choice to just go with the old school coded by hand method. It’s a lot more work, but I get more control out of it. Perhaps down the line I’ll find something I like, but until then I’ll do it this way. Anywho, updates will still be spuratic, but hopefully a lot more frequent than they were. And hopefully I’ll get up some different stuff too, as I’m now dabbing a little into things like animation. I really am hoping to take better advantage of my webspace, I just need to keep motivated is all. But either way, thanks for stopping by and checking the place out. I know I haven’t been giving it much love, but I do appreciate the fact that people still swing by now and again. I haven’t put up any new art here yet, but I do have some, just a matter of getting some time during the week or so to post them up here and a couple other places.
